The brief

How might sound become a new way of seeing?

Students explored how a familiar sense could be translated into another. The project began with interviews, sensory experiments, and a deliberately open question—not a predetermined product.

Outcome

A working prototype—and a more interesting question.

The final wearable uses directional sensors to create a shifting field of audio and haptic cues. More important than the object itself, the project demonstrates how sustained inquiry can move from observation to experimentation, feedback, and a compelling public demonstration.
