A comprehensive curriculum

More than a collection of courses.

Instead of moving rapidly between disconnected subjects, students work within sustained periods of inquiry and creation. Studios anchor the day; English and mathematics provide continuity and depth.

Together, these experiences help students connect academic knowledge with meaningful applications while developing confidence as researchers, collaborators, makers, and communicators.

Peer Learning Group (PLG)

Functioning much like clubs, PLGs give students space to gather around shared interests, try something new, and contribute to school life.

How the pieces work together

01

Design studios

Three- to four-week interdisciplinary experiences built around a theme, question, or real-world challenge. Students research, make, test, revise, and present original work.

02

English + mathematics

Dedicated courses strengthen reading, writing, argument, quantitative reasoning, and mathematical fluency through inquiry, discussion, and application.

03

PLG + community

Shared-interest groups create another way for students to explore, lead, connect across grades, and shape the culture of the school.

Learning across disciplines

Changing topics. Coherent goals.

NuVu’s academic standards create continuity across a curriculum that is always evolving.

Presenting + reflecting

Learning becomes visible.

Students regularly present and defend their work to coaches and peers. Larger trimester exhibitions welcome families and the wider community.

Presentation asks students to explain decisions, respond to questions, reflect on setbacks, and communicate what they learned.

The result

Structure to build essential skills. Freedom to pursue meaningful questions.
